And now, you will be happy to hear I've met Onni-chan's spawn in person. ^________^ Quinn is very much a boy - he doesn't look girly or neutral,but male. He also apparently is already a lady's man, having quite the eye for (much) older women. *ahem* Scratch plans for sending the kid off to a yumemi, LOL. And he does have an interest in wind; actually, he's interested in anything that moves. Nephew-chibi keeps changing every week & has for the moment lost the facial resemblance to Lois. He looks a lot like Dad (my dad; his grandfather). Basically he's a lovely baby with a great temperament, & smiles a lot. Seems like a good kid ^_^. Lois was feeding him pumpkin-mash & he was making "yum yum" noises! hee hee! So cute!
Oh! Since it's my birthday in one week *sledgehammer hint XD*, I'm officially allowed to beg, bribe, etc etc for stuff I want. Which is listed here:

Since I promised you; may I present Ammie's inaugral (what does that word mean, anyway? LOL) crazed ravings about the Buffy Musical episode which she saw this-morning. There are SPOILERS cos I'm a spoiler slore you-have-been-warned:
OMG! It was soooooooo cool! #^________^# From the start with the cheesey opening full-moon titles and the cute version of the theme music, to the ending with the stick-figure-monster singing his "Grrrrrrrr Arrrrrrrrrgh" line in falsetto (R.O.F.L.M.A.O.) I just loved it all! Best song was definitely Anya's 'evil bunnies' one. *BUBBLES* That was so awesome - I wanna get an extended CD single of this! XD Best voices were definitely Giles (well...we already knew Mr Head could sing...^_^) and Tara. AMBER BENSON! *swoon swoon* Best line was Tara's; "Oh my god! I'm cured! I can go out with boys now!" *howls with laughter* I love that girl!!!!!!!!!!!!! XDDDDD It started off so light & funny - "they got the mustaaaaaaaard ouuuuuuuuuuuut, they gooooooooooot the muuuuuuuuuuustard ouuuuuuuuuuuuuut!" (Buffy: "It's not just us") *screams and howls XDDDDDD* - and then ended so dark with the VERY wonderfully handled moment when Buff finally lets slip that the others had pulled her out of Heaven. That was like, shivers down ya spine. Wowzees. *chills* I'm wondering if Joss Whedon's talents have an end, he even wrote all the frickin' SONGS!! o.O!! I'm personally very happy about the Buff/Spike snog at the end. Then again, when it comes to 'BuffyTVS' couples I'm super-easy to please. I love 'em all - Xander/Cordy, Xander/Willow, Xander/Oz, Xander/Giles, Xander/Anya, Buffy/Angel, Buffy/Giles, Willow/Oz, Willow/Tara, etc etc etc. Don't ask me why, LOL (although I still think it's a shame Xander/Cordy and Willow/Oz didn't get a second chance). ---> what did I do after seeing the episode? Sang and danced, of course! :p
::END RANTING:: Uh, the cow thing. Y'see, my hometown of Hamilton is having a re-think on the city motto. And despite all the jokes about NZers and sheep, I come from DAIRY country so to me it's all about the cow! ^_____^ Previous mottos for this place have tried to make it seem cool ("Where It's Happening" YEAH RIIIIIIGHT! LOL); however, the entire country knows the truth, exemplified by the TV News having an item on Hamilton's potential new mottos with a picture in the background saying "COW TOWN" XD. The present motto "More Than You Expect" is a constant source of amusement to Dad ("yes, I expected it to be HELL"). So in any case, Mum and I were talking about the newspaper article which talked about Cow Art originating in Chicago (which is beef country - I did not know) & has now grown into an international exhibition of cow sculptures ('Art Mooveau' as they said - oooooooouch! ROFL). Our suggestion for the city motto? "Join The Herd" ^_~.

=) Well yah, I'm home!! *whews* It's such a relief to be somewhere where it's not all cold & damp & getting an Arctic blast every time you go out the front door. It's also really relaxing to be able to go places & have them be familiar...and oh yeah, parents & stuff *huggles them* I like being looked after ^_~ Suffice to say I'm happy ^_^. But you'll never believe what a TIP my studio has turned into while I was away!! ARGH! Must...clean...mess...LOL And of course we were planning to go see Quinn-chibi this weekend, but Onii-chan THE BIG POOHEAD is taking a break & a long weekend 'away'. GAAH! >_<;;; BAKA! Um...oh yes, I should reiterate that Dai-kun is an uke & does get bitched around by everybody. Poor boy *patpat* XDDDD Oh yes, 'Come What May' is defintely not a Fuuma/Kakyou song (apologies to Mura-chan, it's just...not^^;;;). I'm reminded of the song I did associate with an X pairing while watching 'Moulin Rouge', namely 'Nature Boy' with Kei/Kam:

I'd think that'd be from Keiichi's perspective; however the last line is something Kamui would never say so it'd have to be Kei-chan's line spoken to Kamui. Cos that's what they're like, mais oui? ^_^
Incidently, if I had a K/K shrine I'd call it Fools and Kings not only for that song lyric, but for the fact Keiichi would make a brilliant Fool (as pointed out by Natalie right here =^.^= MROW!). I did 'King Lear' in 7th form & really felt sorry for the poor Fool. He's basically a cool character, since he gives the King astute advice under the guise of joking around - as I recall he makes what he says more palitable to Lear by pretending to be an idiot, so the King can brush it aside (it's seldom what Lear wants to hear). However, the main thing is that the Fool is a comic/tragic character who cuts straight to the heart of the matter in his dialogue - just like Keiichi (in his, y'know, few seconds of seriousness ^_-). For his part, Kamui is like Lear in the way he has the greatest amount of power - & the guilt from making an unimformed decision. He gets caught up in guilt & also the deceptions of others. It takes someone completely unaware, i.e. Keiichi, to break through all the wacky apocalyptic stuff & show Kamui a different point of view.

...speaking of chibi-Dai; I was on chat the other day with Nayami, and when she asked me why Aoki made such a difference to the fic I simply said something flippant about Pocky. And now for the smart answer which one always thinks of when one wakes up the next morning.^^;;; The original idea for the fic was straight-forward D/H, but it really didn't say anything about Daisuke except he's smoopy over Hinoto. The reason why the fic took shape after Aoki jumped in there is that he has had a much more powerful influence over Daisuke. He was the role model for Dai-kun, therefore Daisuke reflects Aoki's own morals & aspirations.

Well Yuzu and Inuki have probably been my fave pair in X ever since I first flicked through X 5 to briefly notice some cute lil' girl glomping a big dog. That was so adorable ^______^!!! And be assured they are a pair. Inuki is Yuzuriha's soulmate. He was her only friend for years and the one whom she confides to always (even after his death). Which is, I believe the real test of how much Inuki means to Yuzu-chan. After leaving Kusa at the beginning of X 15, she immediately thinks of Inuki: ::Inuki. I told Kusanagi-san that I love him. My first point is that Yuzuriha is braver & stronger than a lot of the other characters, but hardly ever gets credit for it. Perhaps because she is young? Perhaps because she is genki? I'm not sure. My second point is that you don't stop loving someone just because they're dead. I thought Yuzu-chan's grief over Inuki was portrayed very well.
Oh, and Inuki doesn't need to prove anything since he died for Yuzu-chan, which in the way of X means he loves her. ^_~ Now for the sticky patch. While I thought the part later in X 15 where Yuzu gains a new power is FAB, not to mention when she's holding the puppy and saying "we'll be together forever this time" is totally tear-jerking ;_; .... ...I thought the new Inuki was a part of her soul. If it's as Satsuki described it - the same dog reincarnated - that makes it kind of difficult for me. Ah well. I guess that's why they're still my favourites. They give me something to contemplate. :)
It's a simple relationship, platonic of course; yet I find it more satisfying than a romance because, well, a girl loves her dog ^_~. Those two have been through a lot together. Never doubt the value of a close friend - even of the four-legged variety.

Two quick movie reviews: 'Gosford Park' is a murder mystery where it's NOT blindingly obvious whodunnit. ^_~ Very cool, and, oh, the divinely delicious Maggie Smith (sometimes known as Prof McGonnagall) was so funny...I loved hearing her say "ooo, yummy yummy" XD. 'The Importance of Being Ernest' was cute and Rupert Everett fantastic as ever. Wow, those bluebell fields in the forest - I believe the expression is "oh, to be in England!" ^___^.

To keep a long story short, I'm moving house again soon! I'm chasing up a swanky library job opportunity back in Hamilton (my hometown) which my mother got inside info on (she's an ex-librarian ^_~ WAHAHAHAHA! Mafia library clique! XD), thereby enabling me to go for an interview AND to see Nephew-chibi... and somehow Dad ended up persuading me to move home even if I don't get the job.^^;;; LOL The last time I boomeranged home was when I was 23 ^_^. But oh well, I miss the Olds and I miss my studio where I can make as much mess and spill as much paint as I like. Start placing bets, folks...I give it ten months 'til I leave 'em again. LOL Of course I was like "Daddyyyyyyyy, what have you talked me into" at first, only now I can't wait to get home to the warm. ^________^ Just over a week to go, YAY!!

Um...on Monday Bel, Manon and I went to see the Spiderman movie. WAY cool! I loved it! The antagonist guy was genuinely scarey in places, & it was very interesting to see the father/son thing going on between him & Peter Parker. Niiiiicely done sub-text. :D Best bit was wet Kirstin dunst nipple-action, ROFL. >:3 Of course I actually spent the majority of the movie thinking fervently what an awesomely perfect Daisuke James Franco would make (he played Peter's best friend and Argustar suggested him so it's all her fault! XD And don't you say anything - Daisuke is too hot, istooistooistooooooooo!!!!!!!!!! ^_-). He had the exact right sort of eyes (really DARK with a little spot of light ^_^) and eyebrows (just need to be a little bit blacker, & his hair lightened); even the right sort of nose (although it wasn't snubbed it was still kinda blobby & cute ^_______^). The one thing that doesn't quite suit is that James Franco has bee-ooo-tee-foool lips, whereas I'd think Dai-kun'd have just an ordinary mouth. He's too burly to have a lovely mouth, LOL. Now, AOKI would have to have very pretty lips (to go with his pretty glasses ^_~).
Actually, I was kinda planning on kidnapping you the whole time we were talking - after about the first two minutes of conversation! ROFL You didn't seem standoffish at all, Lika-chan (did you know you have a smile in your voice? *^^*), and we totally need some hobbit yuri next time. XD "there will be no foolish wand-waving in this class..." (heheheheh, gotta keep in praaaactise! ;p).
Gotta say that Satsy is one of the coolest people, if not the coolest person I know online. :D That thing you said about makeup? SO true!
