I linked the Worship Hinoto shrine cos it's all mini and cute (much like the gal herself - hey, at least she's portable! *stuffs Hinoto under the bed*), and the eye-colour speculation tickled me. You can imagine what would happen if I had a Dai-kun shrine. Ten pages telling how wrong the animators were to give him chocolate-brown hair. Heheheh. And the skin-colour would be what dear Miss Montgomery called 'yellow' & whatnot. Well, phoo to that.
I take it the noromos/shippers wars were all along the lines of "but it's so great to have an attractive man & woman who are close yet DON'T jump into each others pants"? ^_^ And yes, it is possible to keep up with a fandom & fanish attivities using non-online methods. I still do with Doctor Who. I used to with the X Files. Oh, Ratboy is so cool! *random insert*

Overlooked? Yes, she is. I guess most fangirls prefer the middle-ground sort of female characters; not too ditzy, not too serious. Me, I go to either extreme. Very genki is very good *glomps Yuzu*. Very serious *pats Arashi* is also very good. And Hinoto...should have more credit for actually getting in there and DOING something, evil or not. ^_- Better than Kakyou, who's only ever fondled Kotori and Fuuma, & that's ALL he's done. Hinoto turns out to have been behind at least 50% of the plot, so cookies are in order - and as you say, she does have the 'mysterious' thing going for her.
I was also giggling profusely at the D/H lemon! XD Especially when Daisuke used his windpower! XD XD *shrugs* At least it's not a PWP, and I like the dreamscape!! Snow = pretty!

Uh, guys, did I tell you how cool the ending of Revelation was? Well, it was. I like how it was somewhat uncertain, plus sad!Keiichi is a bad thing & you didn't make him any more sad so YAAY! ^_^ I only had the time to read the first chapter of Genesis, but I loved it even more! *nods* Is good. Sparky is very cute, especially her interaction with Kamui.

I had a CCS poster in my old room, but I was growing tired of it so I've put it aside for the moment. My old room was very bizarely attached to A/K, for some reason. ^_^ So far my new room has Yuzu/Inuki, Yuzu/Kusa, and Keiichi features.

ali-chan made an interesting point on the MB, about love confessions (or lack thereof). Dai/Hinoto...it seems like at the end they knew. In any case, there was their lil' heart-to-heart in X 10, with Dai-kun assuring her seriously about his 'happiness', & then giving her that look. Well, they being X's oddest couple, really came closer than most to vocalising how they felt.

And some things at random: the first thing I bought for my new home was peanut butter. (I'm an utter peanut butter nutter, in the words of the song. It's second only to chocolate for me).

I was reading 'The Lives of Christopher Chant' today, and just at the point where I was thinking to myself "Chrestomanci really is much more fun. Little Chrestomanci doesn't even get sacastic!"...& then the next line down he said something sarcastic! LOL *hands D W-J a cookie* Cat is cuter cos he's forlorn a lot. But Chresto's more amusing when he's being terrifying to Cat. I can't believe it was Tonino who noticed that most of the time Chresto is joking! LOL I suppose Cat must be a bit dim that way. heheh

So anyway, my latest darling is Oruha *SHRINE! SHRINE!* ...Suu is sort of a cross between Kotori and Hinoto. Really I just want to pick her up, take her home, and feed her up with fish'n'chips. *snik*

That is, it's painted pink! *laughs* Which is cool, since I haven't had a pink room in ten years, & I always did as a child.

So, um, yeah, yesterday I went round the house cleaning and wailing (and being attacked by the kitty-cats, XD) thinking about all those TB memories the house holds...and of course New Years 1999 when I barely knew TB. Ah, 1999. We have two supermarkets near the old house named 'Countdown' & 'New World', so you can imagine the jokes we made about that. *lol*
Today I have conquered my new bus route, yay yay, with only minimal going-to-the-completely-most-wrong-bus-stop-on-the-exact-wrong-side-of-the-street. I only did it that twice, NYA. ^_- And, oh, this is such a niiiiiiiiice house! With so much more space!

Thor's day = Thursday, also the reason why the cheerful ginger-haired young man turned up on a Thursday. Loki = Luke (but you probably knew this, duh)...and the snakes are the Midgard Serpent I think (oooh, come to think of it, that showed up in Ah!My Goddess one time.^__^ And Fenric too, good old wolfie!). Burnhilda was the lover (& I think sister?...my dad has the Ring Cycle on record, you know, one of those amazing sixteen hour operas^^) of Seigfried, AKA Siguard. They had some big tragic story which was only hinted at in 'Eight Days of Luke'.

Yes, Arashi is more of a man than Kamui...after all she has a sword inside her body *wink wink, nudge nudge*. I liked the bit where Sorata holds Kamui's chin up & goes "it's my destiny to protect you", sweeeeeeeet, although probably I'd favour Dai/Kamui cos (a)it's Dai-kun and (b)they're so testosterone-y together! heeheheheheeeeeeee ^_^

Alison-dear, that's an interesting point you make about Wishes. Nadia mentioned to me in an email that both Kotori and Daisuke, being non-Dragons, had dared to touch the fate of the Earth & were therefore destined to die. Sorata & Daisuke lived with death-wishes since they were children; although Sora-chan seemed more accepting of his Destiny, whereas Daisuke was stubbornly clinging to his Wish as the only way he could show Hinoto that he loved her.
...at least, it seemed that way to me. Since he had lived his whole life under the descisions made by his family, & it was almost as if he wanted to prove once-and-for-all that he was happy about it. By dying for Hinoto. >_<;;; Silly boy.
As for the X 12 side-story, I agree, and Seiichirou-san's message seemed to be about power and responsibility. He asked Daisuke-kun why he wanted to be a good Windmaster, & why he wanted to be strong. "To blow stuff up" would not have been the right answer. ^_^ And Seiichirou only took responsibility for the fate of the world for his family's sake.
I got confused about that bit in X 13. Hinoto seemed to be using her teleporting powers (for wont of a better expression^^;;) to try to bring Daisuke back to her. Hinoto-hime has really cool powers when she's awake!! Weeeeee! *claps* And Fuuma threatened to tear them up, along with the Princess - however, Dai-kun's Wish to die for her meant that Fuuma killed him instead. At least, that's how it looked to me...it was kinda unclear, so I'm probably completely wrong.
I noticed that in the telly series, Dai-kun was painted almost suicidal ("that's the only reason you go on" - WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT? O.o); not like in the manga where he managed quite a few red-hot glares at Fuuma as he was going down. He was clenching his fists too, in his 'angry' pose, heheheh. ^_____^

Hmmm, no, not a lot of people are too fond of Arashi. I think she's soooooo cool, what with the sword & everything.

I was looking up the 'Thieves and Kings' site, declaring my undying love to Quinton, and about to log off for the night (it was 9pm). Then I thought, "oh, the latest Asuka might be up at DoS" (famous last words), so I headed on, had that same reaction to the black ribbon, read the summaries and then was basically climbing the walls. That night I couldn't sleep properly. The next day I went to the MB where we were all screeching "seishirou nooooooooooooooooo" - and the rest is history! *laughs* I still remember the conversation we had about AnimericaExtra (& still think there was some sort of cosmic timing involved there ^___^).

The first thing I ever read of Charles de Lint was 'The Moon is Drowning', which had a lot of stuff about dreams & loaded with cool imagery like, for instance, the protagonist going to bed with six white pebbles held in her mouth.
The story happened to be in an anthology I took on holiday with me to the beach-house at Raglan (*smiles* black sand shores). I was staying in Donald's room cos he was away down south or somewhere (this is Em's little brother...it's hard to keep track of him; think he's in Austria at the moment). Merlie-honey was probably there with me that time as well, on his good old beanbag and snuffling in his sleep. There's nothing better than having a watchdog in your bedroom ^_____^.

*WHEW* What a weekend! Terrible weather (& of course, now it's Monday the sun is out, how tyyyyyyyyypical!! >_<), but a wonderful two days!
On Saturday, I went to this outdoor concert with Em, Ash, and Belinda, at the Arts Centre. It turned out to be 50's-themed, so mostly Swing! (I luv Swing!!!! <3) "She gets too hungry for dinner at eight. She loves the Theatre, but never arrives late. Why, she even gooooes to the Opera~aa and stays wide awake! That's why the Lady is a tramp!" etc. One of the singers was a little boy of about 10 or 11, and he was FABULOUS! This very large Samoan lady, stunningly beautiful, sang a rendition of 'Fever' (now there's a perfect song for Aoki/Karen ^_~). I was also intregued to hear 'Mack the Knife' in German.
Basically I was in heaven. I wanted to get up & dance like the 3-year-olds at the front, LOL. (Who, I should add, had a very good grasp of Rock'n'Roll-style dancing!) Oh, aparently the 50's was a time when a woman knew her place; in the kitchen ROFL.
After that we went to see the TheatreSports show, which was incredibly funny. Rather like 'Who's line is it anyway', only it really is much more enjoyable to be part of the audience - yelling things out! :D My favourite was the Film Noir take-off, which involved the Taj Mahal and someone murdered in the outdoor conservatory. XD

On Sunday I managed to coincide group-chat-wise with these two which was weeeeeeeeeeeee fun; most of the conversation involved them trying to convince me not to go through with marrying Gimpy. *SNIK* *still amused*
And I at last got to play paper-rock-sissors, to find out that I must be the only person alive who is worse at it than Lika. I...I impress myself with my awesome suckfullness at that game! ROFL

Miss Distraction, you probably could successfully prevent my marriage to Hinoto, if you were taped to my body (*hint* I'd recommend super-glue, which bonds to skin ^_~). Besides, you don't have to feel jealous. Hinoto doesn't have the effect on me that you do! *floats* ^/////^ (alright, admittedly she has that effect on Daisuke, but that kid has got his blushing down to an artform, XD)
It's just that, she'd be so perfect since she's a dreaming princess & all. So, lookie, I have a castle desperately in need of a somnabulant-beauty - she'd be a cheap install into my tower-room. I guess Hinoto's kind of high-maintenance, but at least I have Keiichi to help out (& yes, we all need a Keiichi of our own, someone who will do chores cheerfully &....well actually doing them is a great thing! My roomies don't. Ever!!).
Thoughts of a Daisuke/Me/Hinoto-hime threesome is only going to encourage me, hon! XDDDD Hmmm, with just me & Hinoto I might actually get to be SEME! Since she has an 11-year-old body and I stopped growing at age 13...yeah! I'd be taller!Score!! (don't look like that. I'm only kidding. ^_~)
Sorry for telling you the awful truth about Daisuke's feelings towards her. If it makes it any easier, he was clearly all noble & platonic...it was more a sort of worshipping her, & I doubt he would ever think of trying anything untoward or unprofessional (LOL, that boy is such a virgin, ne? ;p). As for Gimpy, I see more of a guilt/regret thing going on. She was fond of Dai-kun, yes, but who knows; if things had been different maybe she wouldn't actually have reciprocated his feelings?
Oh, yeah, *sudden topic change* Wesley gets to be on 'Angel'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHOO-HOO! I liked him a lot on 'Buffy', even if Buffy & Faith were not amused by him. And I hope to see a lot more of Kate ^__~ So far, the last episode I saw was where Cordy got her new (haunted) apartment. It was so great when she was yelling out "You can't scare me! I'm from Sunnidale!" Go Cordy!!!!
Oh, the chocolate-cream? Just one of many times Sat-chan made me LOL in public, with her little "Dai-kun licking chocolate-cream off Keiichi's navel" hidden PWP thingee on Xisland. (*snickers* I just checked, & in fact Keiichi rapidly turned into Keiichi-cake! *snort* XD). *AHEM* One of these days I should explain about the whale-noises, but in the meantime I'll just say ooohoooh ^_____^

Which reminds me. The only character I didn't like so much in the movie was Ron. Not because the actor (Rupert Thingamee) was bad - he practically stole the show! - but only because he wasn't like the Ron in my head. All the other characters were wonderful, having some life breathed into them after being stuck in a plot-driven series. Madame Hootch, for example, was WAY cool, & even Malfoy was a tad interesting rather than being a pissy brat.

XD I have to admit, when Hinoto got all excited over the prospect of an unconscious bishounen (& never in my born days did I think Daisuke would be descibed as 'bish' - I guess Hinoto's biased ^_-) I did a little happy dance. Looks like I have time to rave about the X 15 clip Murasaki was kind enough to provide. ('DaisukeSPLAT', mmmmmmm very descriptive ^_________^ ) Ok, I think it was the coolest thing I have ever seen in My. Entire. Life!! (making allowances for extreme personal bias, naturally ^_-)
Fuuma's voice, my gawd, Maria was absolutely right about it! *starts cold shower* I vote we find his voice-actor & make him general-fangirl-sexslave! A voice like that, he needs to be in our bondage!!!!!!!!!!!! And, Fuuma did that THING, just like in the manga, when he does a kind smile as he mentions the Wish! *claps hands* He said he would grant the Wish, with no inflection in his tone, that was soooooooooooooo creepy! Wowee! Amazing, just amazing.
Um, Saiki's voice? He...sounds like a boy, so I guess that's a good start, LOL. Oh, he does the being-smashed-by-Fuuma/gasping in pain thing very well. And he had the right sort of intensity of rhis lines.
Hinoto's voice was like a little girl's, just as should be. Sucks that she can talk - although from that brief clip I didn't realise it. But, heh, she sounds cute.^^;;;
That 'Countdown' music track is way freaky.........ah, it all sounded great, & the visuals were neat. Not so excited by seeing Fuuma, of course, but when I saw Saiki-kun; hee hee, you can just imagine myself with those cartoon love-hearts in place of eyes. *__* Which was before I noticed his nose, & the snub thereon, yyaaaaaaaayyyyyy, ECSTASY! <3 <3 <3
Damn, he really did stand his ground (actually he even walked forwards)! I'm impressed. Plus he was most certainly baring teeth before going kaput *kudos to animators* I love the swirly-effect-from-hand as well! Weeeeeeeeeee! :D
The words I could recognise were Hinoto, yamero, yamero, yamete, and Saiki-dono; that last being quite a relief to me - that I had been pronouncing it right - since I'd spent five years reffering to Daisuke as 'Dice-ooki' *cringes* (yeah, I know, it's 'Daah eeee suu kay'....at least I think that's correct...Anyone care to tell me? ^_~)
All-in-all, they made it really scarey with that X-ish sort of atmosphere, & without being a clone of the manga. If the rest of the show is that good...my hat's off to the animators.
