*^____^* Heheh, yes, I'll probably be hiding in blogland for a while too. Actually I grabbed a book from work the other day entitled "We Blog" (basically an explaination of the advent and use of online blogging) which made me SO nostalgic (yeah, like I wasn't nostalgic already XD).
Ding dong the cold is dead, the cold is dead (hmmm, oh right, it should be "Ding dong Sei-chan's dead" *snickers* ^_-). Yesterday was totally hoarse, though, and my voice actually went all husky & sexy. ROFL!! :D Well, it reminded me of the chick from live action 'Witchblade" who is drop dead sexy & with a huskier voice than even the girl who does male Ranma's voice (the Witchblade chick also dresses as a man at one point in the TV series). *giggles*
[Oh yeah, subtle plug for "Witchblade". I only watched it cos I was bored & alone one night...it was cheesy, but in the shiney fun way. :3]
Linh's layout is TEH AWESOMESNESSESS!!!!!! Funky style, a little scarey even. :P Now if I could just find a pic of her as the Sumeragi girl at Anime North... *has been randomly searching google for con reports & pics, no luck yet*
Damn McD's. I remember being jerked around with the "not calling back" deal with them from a few years back. :/ (awwww, you knew my birthday was coming up soon *snuggles* <3). Just to add, I read 'Tailchaser's Song' ten years ago: don't remember much apart from it being well-written and with the best ending for a quest story.
Notes to self:
1. Remember cheerful and amiable? How you normally are? Any random & inexplicable bouts of sniffling & depression are generally a warning YOU ARE GETTING SICK. The very next day. At least try to take some vitamin C & B to ward it off. We hate tonsillitus & colds.
[editors note: too many "ands"/"&s". Plus, what's this "we"? Turning into Gollum again?]
2. To remember when you have the strength for LJ: memes (reccing, breeding editors, personal reccs, pic spam WAHAHA ^_^), the Percy/Crouch-Smithers/Burns-Ogata/Icchan love rating (double WAHAHA ^_~), and the Babel thing comparing TB with B5 (oh yes ^_____^).Cosplay fantasies! (Aoki, Wendy, Chicken librarians from YnM, etc etc)
[editor's note: Breeding?...I don't want to know...]
3. YKYLKSTMW (that's "you know you love Keiichi Segawa too much when" and you may as well list the ways, the Keiichi-infection is clearly permanent and fatal): "you cannot read the word Segway any more. Particularly not when it's capitalised. The word will always appear to be Segawa, or a misspelling thereof." ^_^;;;; It's true.
4. Chocolate fish for Cocoa.
5. Tidy up studio & computer room.
6. Burns and Smithers should totally have sex. *SQUICKED* Well, they should. XD *squicked again*
7. Iwasaki and Emori omgtheirloveissoeditorial? (editorialISED?)
RL stuff: Ems called me on Friday (her birthday) to thank me for her gift (got her two books, seemed appropriate ^_^). I'm so glad, she seems SO much better. *relief* The fact that she called me for a change (rather than me calling her) speaks volumes. Wants to meet up sometime in Wellington and go see Te Papa (I'd been thinking along similar lines myself). Well, I'm just glad. My twin star is the coolest and I couldn't bear it to see her going downhill with this anxiety disorder thing. :(
We will meet in Wellington and I shall take lots of goofy photos. <3
Currently:
Listening to - 'Cowboy Bebop' music. doo-dee-doo-dee-do-do What PLANET is THIS dum-dum-duuum <3
Watching - 'Silent Witness' because I have a thing for Amanda Burton (her accent is so hot). ^_^
Waiting for - 'CLAMP News 10' (= more editor slash, heh heh heh)
Hoping for - Cocoa (+ Brainmuffin) and Rachel to post photos on LJ (SeishirouXSeishirou? LOL And Japan....*hops impatiently*)
Mostly doing - work.
Should be doing - study. And tidying. And sorting out. And throwing out old clothes (must go through wardrobe).
Wanting - Misato plushie, & 'Read or Die' manga.
Ahhhh, satisfaction! Blogging is the best, it always makes me feel better. :3
Eeeeyaaa, plague, plague and illness (translation: I have a cold - been ill the last three days :/)...haven't been online - I'm scared even to look at LJ, there'll be so much to catch up on...
Anyway, hope Lika-bunny is having a good time settling in at Montreal. Living in a different city is exciting.
I must say that Q-ball is a very satisfactory nephew. He even knows the 'Can We Fix It?' song from Bob the Builder. *rubs hands in anticipation of extended karaoke sessions*
All I need's some gold-rimmed armani glasses and we're SO set for Aoki & Dai cosplay. *eg*
A quick note to my padawan: Master would immediately cast aside hundreds of delicious blondes if you were in the room. Master wants only you. ;D <3
Right! Time for a proper update after the layout change (poor, poor neglected blog ;_; I'm sowwy).
First of all, after all this time I can say NIFTY layout, m'dearest. *g* The way you've put the links is especially cool...had no idea you had a streak of graphic designer in you. ^_~ I kinda liked it when you had the LJ and blog as brothers/third cousins once removed, though - that was cute.
As for the various novelties of email, weblogs & LJ: oh how well I remember the sparkliness of getting my very own email address for the first time. And joining my first mailing list. :D It did take a long time for the novelty to wear off.
And for blogland, I still feel it, I still miss it. I liked seeing random new layouts every other week, joking around with ten other people, rants rants RANTS, spending two hours blog-hopping around the neighborhood, and proper text-linking the way it's s'posed to be!! The list goes on.
Not that LJ wasn't fun at first. I still love the icons and the convenience of the comments (much better than those little fiddly tag-bar things which took ages to load). But it's not the same. It feels like "edited highlights" rather than the "full story", y'know what I mean? Everyone is in the same format, too, instead of having individuality.
Enough griping.^^ RL stuff: went to see 'Ask Me If I'm Happy' again (good music! Good, good. I like Italian pop, never heard it before, want more ^_^). The third film by those three Italian guys (now I remember) is called 'The Legend of Johnny and Jack'. Highly recommend for silly, off-beat humour (silliness is underated - because laughter is good for human beings).
Oh! You guys, offer me pity. At work the cute, yummy blonde girl (who is upstairs in Collection Management plus so sweet when I run in with a problem book and anxious customer waiting downstairs) has got a new position over at the School of Education's library. So she won't be in our building any more. *sniffle* :_: I'm totally bereft.
Do I need to mention that I got CLAMP News 9 in the mail today? LOL *jumps around in glee*
This is a test, proper blogging later. *hugs Lika-chan*
